Wine in the Euganean Hills and Agriturismo Veneto
Maria Gioia Rosellini
On the gentle slopes of the Euganei Hills, amongst the vineyards, olive groves and woodland, in the magical surroundings of a Venetian 16th century villa, I cultivate vines and produce wine using natural methods. I make my wine simply by following the grape fermentation to produce a wine that does not necessarily have to be similar to the last one, but that will definitely be really good.
Although primarily a winery, Ca’Orologio is also a wine resort. Housed in the villa’s old barchessa, a traditional regional style of barn, the Agriturismo Veneto sleeps up to sixteen in its stylish rooms and apartments in the converted building. A perfect place for your next holiday, where you can relax and enjoy the wine, art and culture of the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
Making good wine is so much easier when solid bonds link the people and the vines, the people and the earth, and the people and their ideas.
A few outdoor tables overlooking the flower and vegetable garden.
What better way to start your day? Wake up gently and treat yourself to a long, lavish breakfast.
From a distance, these volcanic hills seem almost to be a mirage, with their blue outlines standing out on the skyline of the plain. A treasure of well-kept secrets.
