Colli Euganei Regional Park

The Park, about 19000 hectares wide, was established in 1989 on an area of great geomorphological interest, characterized by
volcanogenic hills formed in Oligocene. The 15
municipal districts composing the Park offer innumerable cues to those who can appreciate their environmental value. Woods, tracks to cover on foot or by bicycle, medieval defences, ancient villages, Venetian Villas, historical gardens, monasteries, wineries, golf courses and even thermal resorts compose a rich and varied tourist offer.

Fertile hills

Among sweet Euganean Hills, operate about a thousand farms. These hills were moulded by millenarian human activity. In particular vine, thanks to their favourable climate, was already grown during Iron Age and olive is present since Roman Age. Nowadays prevailing productions come from vineyards, olive groves, chestnut woods, coppices, orchards and sow able lands.
